WORTH | STRAIN

Christopher Worth has become known for his unique style of bohemian blues which he developed as a street performer traveling across the US and Europe. David Jacobs-Strain is a stunning slide guitar player and song poet. He studied masters like Robert Johnson, Taj Mahal and Jackson Browne, but plays his own sound, his own song, with a virtuosity that is uniquely his. Together, they are a duo of otherworldly vocal and guitar skill, blending high chops with melodic, lyrical, and performance savvy.

CRUNK MOUNTAIN BOYS

The Crunk Mountain Boys are a high-octane musical force to reckon with. David Jacobs-Strain is at the helm with his swampy roots/blues originals and fierce guitar playing. You can’t sit still when this mostly acoustic band is rattling the windows and thumping the floor. David Jacobs-Strain and The Crunk Mountain Boys play festivals, barn parties, house concerts, stages, hallways, tailgates…

PRESS

“He doesn’t just rock out: he’s learned the art of crossing musical boundaries from the masters. His music has a fiery passion that’s exciting and engaging, tempered with an aesthetic reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest, where he grew up and cut his first guitar strings. Don’t be fooled by his youth; Jacobs-Strain knows what he’s doing.”

— Dirty Linen

“His albums are slow burning wonders. . .”

— Pop Matters

“His acoustic and electric guitar work is crisp and driven, and his voice can rise to a soulful pitch or fall quietly in sync with a loping beat. His imagery-rich tales—well, it’s not hard to imagine some of them being covered by the likes of John Hammond Jr. . . . or Boz Scaggs. . .”

— Washington Post

“He is just one of these guys who is in his own class. A great singer and guitar player.”

— Jorma Kaukonen

“This kid’s gonna be a superstar and i want a cut on his next album”

— Todd Snider
